Summer is fast approaching.  And with it, comes rain. During Southwest Florida summers, it rains nearly every single day. And we often get severe storms. In the beginning masonry stages of a job, rain and storms can cause significant delays. Something else unique about our area is that we constantly have people visiting and moving here.  So, while we have an increase in people and the amount of homes being built, our labor forces stay the same.

Labor and material shortages continue to severely impact the construction industry with no indication of slowing.  With more and more people moving to Southwest Florida for various reasons, suppliers and developers are trying to keep up with demand.  Cape Coral continues to grow at an unprecedented rate.

In addition to the shortages we are experiencing, costs continue to rise, which is driving up home prices.  And with the lack of existing home availability, many are pursuing new home construction.  All of these factors and more equate to longer construction times.
